{ Goodbye Idearc! }

Wow! The time has actually arrived! I am finally, officially a stay at home mom!! I am soo excited yet I have to admit I feel a little strange thinking I’m not employed anymore. I had worked for GTE which then became Verizon and now Idearc for 10 years. It makes me feel proud that I stayed with them for 10 whole years! For the most part I really have enjoyed my job. There were a few things of course that I didn’t enjoy but I did truly love what I did! After my former boss Linda (now friend!) left the company a lot of things changed! As I’ve cleaned out my desk the last week I ran across a lot of things from when Linda was with the company and those truly were memorable years and I owe Linda a lot for my success at my job! So as I’ve told you before Linda, thank you for everything!

I had a fun last day at work. My co-workers/friends were so nice and put on a wonderful taco salad bar potluck for me and spoiled me with a HUGE gift basket full of scrapbooking supplies and a gift card to Applebees. What a special group! I’m really going to miss them all! I didn't think I would get as emotional as I did but I've worked with so many special people over the years and they all touched my life in one way or another!

It was very sad saying goodbye to everyone but I really hope to stay in touch with them! For those that are reading this please, please keep in touch! You know how to reach me and I know how to reach you! (:

I know the below might seem kinda strange to post but I just thought I’d include some emails that I received from some of my customers I’ve dealt with for years and also sales reps. All of the emails really made me feel special and I feel good knowing that people appreciated my work.

That’s great you get to stay home with your daughter! There’s nothing better than being a mom. I worked full time until my (now 10 year old) son was in 1st grade. Since then, I’ve either not worked or worked part time so I could be home for him before/after school.


I am so happy for you – you will never regret it.


I hope you’re moving on to bigger & better things! Whoever replaces you has big shoes to fill.

Well I am bummed. Finally get to work with a nice and friendly person, and off they go. I wish you well in your future ventures. Take care of that little one and be happy.



Wait a damn minute....you don't get off that easy!!! What, why, where, when?? There is no life after Angie!! Send me a personal e-mail address so I can track your wanderings!! I will honestly miss you....not sure how long we've been hammering out the website, but it seems like a gazillion years. E-mail me from a private account so I can stay in touch. Hell, I was planning to come out to visit a friend there in WA. State in the Spring, and see if I couldn't hook up with you for lunch or something while I was there!!! Crap....I couldn't possibly have anticipated the loss or disappointment I feel!!


You have been so helpful with our website. You will be missed. Thank you!!!


Ok, now you have gone and done it. I am going to to have to retire now! What am I going to do without you? I will miss you greatly, you have been the best designer I've ever worked with here and it has been more than a pleasure to get to know you. Whatever you do, you will be great at it because you care and it shows. Thanks again for all your help and friendship and please send me an email when you settle in so I know what your doing.



Ahh Angie! You will be so missed, I can not begin to tell you... Thank you so much for your continued support and fantastic abilities of always taking care of the customer. You have truly been an amazing asset, and will be so missed.

My cube! (:

Me, Suzanne (who now works for Boeing) and Steph
who works in another department. We were all developers
together a few years ago! Man I love these girls! They
have taught me so much! Not only professionally but
personally too!

Me and Terri! Love her!!!!! We used to sit by eachother
and I'm so thankful we got the opportunity. I got to know
her so well and we became great friends!! I'm gonna
miss our talks!!!

Tammy and I! Love her too!! We started as developers
the same day! We have gotten to know eachother so
well and I'm really gonna miss our daily talks!

Shannon and I! Love her! We had the whole love for
country music in common! We've gone to several concerts
together and hopefully will continue to go!

Tami and I. Love her too! I wish I would've had the
opportunity to work with her longer! This lady is the
sweetest lady ever. I had a microwave by my desk and
I'll miss our daily talks while she waited for her lunch to
heat up!

Susan and I! Man the memories with Susan! There are
sooooooooo many, huh Susan!!! I love her lots! She's
been there for me thru everything...I went through
alot in 10 years! (: This gal is the most giving person
you'll ever meet too!

Me and Steph M! The NICEST, and easiest person
to talk to! I love her and gonna miss her!!

This is the all of us developers! We used to be a department
that consisted of 12+ developers and now they are down to 3!
You guys are awesome!! Poor Kevin was the only guy!
He did great by putting up with all us girls! He's hillarious and I'll
miss him!! I wish I would've gotten to know Naomi more! She
transfered from Texas last year!

Steph B, baby Orin and I! I love her too! Steph is our lead and
on materinty leave right now. Thanks again so much Steph
for coming in for the potluck! I'm really gonna miss all our
talks! We've worked together I think around 8 years. Good
luck with everything Steph!!
