Vancouver 2010

Daddy really got into the Olympics this year. He’s a huge sports fanatic and truly loves his country so the Olympics are his thing! He even got Mommy and I into to them! He had a really neat idea to drive up to Vancouver before the Olympics were over. Some people thought we were nuts but Daddy’s comeback was when will the Olympics ever be driving distance again? Probably never or not anytime soon. So we took advantage of them being so close and left at 6am Saturday morning. I was such a good girl and didn’t mind getting woken up that early. 1st stop was the best espresso stand around. LOCALS! Coffee’s and hot chocolate then it was Canada bound! We thought there would be a line at the border and we only had to wait behind one car! We got up to Vancouver drove around a little bit, walked a ton and then hoped on one of their trams. We headed to downtown where the torch was at and the crowds were CRAZY. It was really neat to see all the people supporting their countries. Mommy brought a flag for me to carry and one little boy (not sure what country he was from) said with very broken English, is that the, the, the….American Flag? Mommy and Daddy said yes it is, good job buddy. The little boy was so proud he knew what flag it was! We didn’t attend any events because the ones Daddy liked were either sold out or super expensive. What a neat experience! I know when I get older I will appreciate that Daddy and Mommy brought me up there!

Mommy was so excited to pick up a couple of
these. She says they are the most fantastic,
light candy bars that she can only find in Canada.
Uncle Dan used to play lots of Baseball in Canada
and Mommy and Grandma found these one year
and got hooked! Yum!!
