Our annual trip to Leavenworth was great….the 1st day. The 2nd day not so much. The 1st day was full of breakfast at the Sultan bakery, sledding, walking around Leavenworth, stopping for cocoa and treats, swimming at the hotel and having a pizza and popcorn party in the hotel room. It was a great day and Lilly and I were wiped out at the end of the day. The next day wasn’t so great. We got up and by the time we got to the continental breakfast it was really picked over so we decided to head out to grab breakfast in town. Well halfway down the street something happened to Gerald’s truck and we had to pull over and Daddy and Gerald had to push the truck into the closest parking lot. It ended up being close to a restaurant so all us girls headed inside and drank lots of coffee and cocoa while we waited for the guys. An hour later they got the truck started thanks to Google for helping them figure out what was wrong. Anyway, by the time the guys got inside we were all starving. We place our orders and wait and wait and wait some more. Our waitress finally comes over and tells us our order was never placed. Really? Ugh! So we wait some more. The manager comes over and tells us a couple of the meals will be on the house which is nice. So the food finally comes and they forget to bring half of Daddy’s breakfast. So when complains about it they give us our meals for free. We were happy about that. We decide it’s time to get going, lets check out of our hotel and go sledding some more! Nope! Daddy gets in the truck (we borrowed papa George’s) and the truck won’t start! ): So Gerald takes Melissa and the girls back to the hotel and then comes back for Mommy and I. We all waited back at the hotel for 3 hours while Gerald and Daddy were out in the cold fixing the truck. We were never so happy to leave Leavenworth. Like I said, the 1st day was fantastic but the second day not so much! We still made it fun and will go back again next year. We are already looking forward to it!
