I decided to not only join 1 Relay team this year but 2. Lake Steven’s Relay for Life was in the middle of May and it was wonderful minus the DOWNPOUR almost all night and the next morning. We were all drenched but had a great time regardless. It’s amazing to hear survivor stories as well as many wonderful people that lost their battle to cancer. Hearing all the stories made it easier to walk in the pouring rain because of what millions of people have gone thru and it was wonderful to raise money to support research to hopefully save many lives!! Carla, Maranda and I all walked 14.5 miles. We took breaks here and there but stayed up all night and walked, walked, walked! Thanks to all my friends that stopped by to support our bake sale. We really appreciate it. We raised almost $400!! :)
